Cement basket

Used in stage cementing to prevent cement column from displacing downwards the drilling fluid.

Cement basket should be installed on the bottom of the formation where cementation is required.

Cement basket is usually installed on the casing over the weak formations to support long columns of cement and prevent the weak formations from the pressure of cement column.

Petals are arranged in an over-lapping pattern that allows for maximum flexibility and fluid passage from below.
